What’s the Cost of the Project?

The total cost of the project is $49 million. That’s a cost reduction of $20.5 million from the proposed 2023 bond.

Passage of this proposal will increase the annual taxes on a home with a 2024/25 "market value" of $100,000 by approximately $85.06 ($7.09 per month), a home with a "market value" of $300,000 by approximately $255.18 ($21.27 per month) and a home with a "market value" of $600,000 by approximately $510.36 ($42.53 per month).

You can find the "market value" of your home here: https://svc.mt.gov/dor/property/prc).

The bond term is 25 years.

If not now….then when?

Construction costs are continually rising. Further delaying the middle school project will only lead to it being more expensive in the future…while the current middle school continues to age. Maintenance on an almost 100 year old building is very expensive, and there are many unknowns. We want to secure the future of our district by using funds wisely and building a campus that will last for years to come. The time to act is now.
